Freddie is going to be a big brother!

We don't know if it's a girl or a boy, but we can tell it's a Tarheel! Coming around July 7.

Somebody turned 2!!!

We hijacked a Superbowl party and made everyone sing Happy Birthday to Freddie (their payment was my first homeade cake, chocolate with chocolate frosting which turned out pretty good, not perfect). John and Joanna (the hosts) were very good sports and Joanna even sent us these sweet pictures. We missed family on this day, of course, but I did not miss throwing the 50 plus person party with the full bar that we threw last year. To top that we would have had to gone to Vegas or something.

Go Heels!

Thanks to Nana & Papa for the birthday present! Sorry you had to go to a million places to find it Nana, but you sure got him the right one.

Bird's eye views of Pittsburgh

The Stutzmans were kind enough to come help us unpack, but the movers were not kind enough to get there when we did. It ended up being great, because we needed a break from the move & we were able to check out Pittsburgh. One of the first things we did was ride up the Duquesne incline tram to get some amazing views of downtown Pittsburgh. This tram is one of several old cable cars that go STRAIGHT UP (30 degree angle) Mt. Washington. You can see the 3 rivers: the Allegheny and Monongahela (rhymes with Venezuela) rivers, which form the Ohio River. Also, the downtown skyscrapers, the football stadium, and all the bridges.

Here's a cute one of the three Fred's. One of them has more food on his face than the other two. I love this picture!

Children's Museum

Pittsburgh has an amazing assortment of museums. The Children's Museum has fun water play (Freddie's favorite part), a kid sized Smart Car, a beautiful cafe with enormous hanging lanterns, and a replica of Mr. Roger's neighborhood! Another great Fred! Fred Rogers lived in Squirrel Hill, our neighborhood, which is really cool.

My kitchen helper

This is Freddie's new thing. You give him a chair to stand on and he will "wash" dishes, stir things and his favorite (and actually he is very good at this) spin salad greens. He would rather help in the kitchen than anything else. Well, unless the other thing has to do with fans.
